Just in Time for Valentine’s Day, The Metropolitan Opera Presents Romance at the Met, An Exclusive iTunes and Apple Music Compilation of Opera’s Most Romantic Moments

New York, NY (February 5, 2016) – The Metropolitan Opera has released an exclusive compilation of opera’s most romantic music entitled Romance at the Met, available for the first time exclusively through iTunes and Apple Music on February 5, 2016. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, this album of arias and other excerpts from live Met performances is available for $9.99 as a download. 

Featuring romantic selections from operas such as Bizet’s Carmen; Puccini’s La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, and Tosca; and Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Die Zauberflöte, and Le Nozze di Figaro, these romantic works showcase some of the most world’s most renowned singers. Met stars who sing on this album include Sondra Radvanovsky, Susanna Phillips, Isabel Leonard, Plácido Domingo, Roberto Alagna, Matthew Polenzani, and Lawrence Brownlee.
